Jinggoy and I went to the Department of Foreign Affairs to have our passports renewed. Since we had our appointment, it took us just an hour and a half to finish up everything. We’ll be picking up our passports on the 20th.
antalap!
Ristras y Caramia!
After my hon’s passport search in Cubao, we decided to head to MOA to watch Transformers in IMAX. Unfortunately, EDSA was at a stall just right after Santolan.
We then decided to fill our hungry tummies and headed to Greenhills. Off to Ristras!
blonde or brunette leighton?
Last week, while I was watching “House MD”, a blonde teen was sort of obssessed over House. It was Leighton Meester.

I finally got what I was craving for
I’ve been craving for some moist carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for a couple of days now.

This morning, I asked Jinggoy again to look for some carrot cake. Unfortunately, he didn’t find any from nearby cafes and bakeshops. Thus, I made my own using the same recipe I used before (see 06/11/08 entry).
A peek at my messy workplace with half a kilo of carrots, grated.
missin’ these

after 4 years, i was able to eat fresh cherries again! been munching on these like peanuts when I was in Spain.
love ‘em!
The tonic that killed Michael Jackson
Demerol.
Yes, the same drug I was pleading my docs to inject on me 4 years ago when I got operated on when my stitches hurt badly. One dose and the pain went away, putting me off to sleep. I couldn’t take pain killers because I had allergies and this is the only one safe for me.
Later on, they had to stop Demerol on me to avoid dependency and addiction. No more painkillers, thus, my tolerance for physical pain increased.
“Me Time”
I was able to renew my driver’s license this morning. I was supposed to renew it yesterday but there was a power failure. Luckily, it took only an hour and a half today, plus, I was able to get my license exactly a minute before they closed for their lunch break. Thanks to Jinggoy for the company.
Afterwhich, we had lunch buffet at the Thai Kitchen along Tomas Morato. Good thing, (I think) my morning sickness had stopped. Been throwing up for the past 3 days.
I then returned my hubby to his office to resume work.
Headed to Trinoma for my “me time.” It’s been a long time since I did some malling alone.
I was able to buy a pair of sandals (sale at Landmark!), I got another free parking pass for my birthday month (care of A-Card), and now, I’m at the lounge using their Mac for free. There’s a limit of 30 mins but since nobody’s using, we can use it as long as we want.
I might have to resume walking or shopping (if I still have moolah) in a few minutes from now. Have to rest my tired feet first.
Thanks to their mac, I’m able to manage my restaurant in FB! hehehe
happy long weekend!
Brit talent!
We’re all familiar with Susan Boyle and Paul Potts from “Britain’s Got Talent” and they’ve showed us what real talent is, compared with “America’s Got Talent”. The shows are a bit samey but TALENT is the key.
We’ve seen Sir Sean Connery in many films. A well-respected actor. I totally admire his acting and his accent.
The list of Brit actors is also long, just too lazy to put names here.
I love Siouxsie and the Banshees, listened to many new wave (music which originated in the UK) bands like Depeche Mode, Spandau Ballet, The Cure, and The Housemartins (remember Norman Cook, aka “Fatboy Slim”?). We even featured the song “Thank You” from The Pale Fountains in our AVP during our wedding. Blame Jinggoy for the inclination to this type of music.
Good looking blokes have also filled my list. My obssession with Prince William back in college was funny. My room had a small area where I printed out pictures of this royal hunkness. I asked mom to kiss Prince William for me when my folks went to London for their silver wedding anniversary. As if!
David Beckham, Orlando Bloom and my OMG man, Christian Bale! Despite the “Bale Out!” remix, he’s got acting skills, baby!
Oh, one more bloke to top my list here. He has a very English lastname. He got famous with his bad boy attitude and his name is the only name Jinggoy recalls when he sees me watching this series. His American accent is flawless despite his being Brit. He is a lead singer in a band called “The Filthy Youth“. He is none other than Ed Westwick. Also famous for just being Chuck Bass.
GG, OTH
Gossip Girl
Can’t wait for the season ender of GG to be aired on Monday (Tuesday in Manila). A lot of stuff going on and the gang of the Upper East Side will be graduating high school. What will happen with B, S, Chuck, Nate, and the rest? Hmmm..
One Tree Hill
There’s something about weddings that really make me really happy, whether it’s a friend’s wedding, or just on tv. I always reminisce that day I tied the knot with my hubby, and of course, now, we’re expecting a little one.
This episode is a feel-good episode as Lucas and Peyton get married but at the end, it made me say “oh my gosh”.
Angels and Demons
Friday, queued up at Trinoma for the first screening of “Angels and Demons”. I don’t want long lines so I was there early to buy tickets. Met up later on with Jinggoy and watched it together.
Saturday, queued up again for the same movie. This time with my mom. haha she loved the book so much, she really had to watch this one.
It’s just funny because every time I watch a movie with mom, she always asks a lot of questions. This time, her only question to me upon seeing Vatican was, “Nakapunta ka na dyan? (Have you been there?)” I said “Of course. How about you?” She replied, “Shempre, may picture pa nga kami.” I forgot, I didn’t have my pictures printed out. They’re all in digital form.
