Orange, anyone?

My little Alessi Anna Timer is broken :(    I think it’s beyond repair already.

Anyway, I got a good find after bumping into this product when mom and I went to MiniStop (a convenience store) last week. I bought a sachet of Great Taste Coffee Desserts Valencia Mocha and also a sachet of Chocolate Mint. I’m a freak for Hazelnuts, Mints and Chocolate Orange.

A new ice cream discovery

Jinggs craved for ice cream in the evening. An excuse to make our lunar a bit special instead of spending it at home.

Before leaving for some ice cream, dad came home from Baguio and brought some Ube Jam from Good Shepherd. The best talaga!

Anyway, we headed to The Block just to try out Sebastian’s Ice Cream Studio.

For P85/scoop and P140/double scoops, you’ll have big servings of delectable, creamy and tasty goodness. :)

I tried a scoop of Mango Sans Rival and another scoop of Swiss Chocolate Cheesecake. Hon, on the other hand had a scoop each of Peanut Butter Cookie Dough and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Takaw talaga namin.

2 movies, a gown, a double date, and a doggie bath

yep, this time, i’ll be enjoying it! last week, i was at the office for those 3 rest days because my bro’s computer here at home got busted. :(

Friday- my hon and I watched “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” at Trinoma.

Saturday- had a doubledate with Bong and Ria. We all had lunch at Chili’s while the boys also watched the semis between USA and Argentina. It’s been a while since we had a doubledate. We got soooooooooo full! For dessert, we all shared a white molten thing i forgot what it’s called… it was just too sweet.

In the evening, I got to fit my wedding gown for the first time! yipee!!!! I was really, really happy to see it. It’s not yet done but the basic structure of the dress has been completely made. No embellishments yet. No pics yet, i want it to be a surprise. I have to lose more weight though :(   I did shed off some pounds after my measurements were taken but it’s just to have a better fit. Goody-goody-gosh! :) :) :)

we also got to watch “Big Stan” in Trinoma.

Sunday- our 38th lunar! yipee! hehehe we celebrated yesterday. A date at Chili’s is not a cheap one. :D just stayed at home. also celebrated bart’s birthday. :)

Gave bart his weekly bath, but now, i took shots of his after-bath play. He really loves his big red towel.

well, he got tired. :D   (taken and edited using just a cam-phone)

weekend recap

bro arrived from Singapore last Saturday for a 4-day vacation and to celebrate his bday. :) Food trip weekend but no pictures. :)

Dad came home from Tito Jairus’ house but he bought that yummy mango tart from Conti’s.

Before fetching bro from the airport, dad then craved for some chicharon, so we bought some from lapid’s. I was also curious with the chocolate cakes sold only at Shell Magallanes, so we bought one too. After fetching him, we headed to Duty Free and bought a lot of chocolates. Afterwhich, we picked up our King Oscar Cake from Manila Pen.

Sunday, had a small get-together with the family and had inihaw – yummy pork bbq and bangus! Also had kare-kare.

Monday, BC’s birthday and we had yummy spaghetti,  lengua with white sauce and mushrooms (both mom-cooked), and lemon chicken (from north park) – all of which are my bro’s favorite!

It was such a *busog* weekend, sumptuous food and full of celebrations! Too bad my brother had to go back to Singapore this evening. :(

080808

they say it’s lucky.
some wedding suppliers of mine can’t be disturbed because of their numerous weddings on this day.
jinggoy’s office mate has a wife who gave birth this day. lucky baby, eh?
it’s cris’ birthday today. we had cake and spag in the office.

for me, it’s even worse than a normal day, or even a friday the 13th. I’ve never encountered accidents during friday the 13th.

Morning – Marc was absent, his mom got into a vehicular accident. broken arm and some scratches. good thing she’s doing ok, but according to him, their car isn’t.

Afternoon – mom and I headed home. no traffic before gov. forbes but before reaching Maceda intersection, heavy traffic. At the center of the intersection (Maceda-Laon Laan), a car was stalled. By-standers were trying to pick the locks of the car. Unfortunately, the driver of the car is inside and had a stroke. I just prayed for that guy even if I’m not religious. I hope he’s ok. They should’ve smashed his windows instead.

Evening – I headed home after some late dinner with Jinggoy. I was along D. Tuazon turning right at quezon av where traffic’s heavy. 2 cars were stalled. one was a blue sedan, no damages. Almost facing the traffic was a car.. i didn’t see its make. It’s a total wreck with its engine scattered in front of it. It turned 135 degrees after hitting the island and a tree. You can really tell it was speeding because of the impact and the damage. tsk tsk tsk.

i’m just glad we’re all safe

Of jeepneys, shadows and Spanish food

Bought a cute li’l jeep as my hon’s gift for their client. It’s a bit heavy for a small tin jeepney (yep, it’s metal and it has real rubber tyres) and it’s really cute!

Biyahe na!

We then headed to Lola Liling’s 84th birthday party at Alba’s. Oh yeah! Spanish food galore! mmm!!!
